Meet Gorilla Mill’s new MF coating
—
Zero-BS chip flow
Our MF coating is ultra-thin and stupid smooth, so your edge stays razor-sharp instead of turning into a gummy mess. Translation: less welding, less built up edge, prettier chips, more booyah.
Featherweight film
Heavyweight punch. 0.3 Microns thick, so you keep that honed micro-land intact while cranking the SFM. Thin film, big violence.
Heat? (yawn)
Rated to 600°C (1,112°F) in use, applied at <150 °C — safe for delicate geometries and tight-as-skinny-jeans tolerances.
Born for Non-ferrous
Designed explicitly for machining aluminum (even Al alloys up to ~12% Si), copper, brass, plastics – If it’s gummy, this coating stomps the snot out of it.
Hard wear
Carbon-based ta-C with >65 GPa hardness and a dry friction coefficient <0.10. It makes abrasive high-Si aluminums pee themselves a little bit.
The Bottom Line:
- 6061? Send it.
- High-silicon cast Al? Bring it.
- 2000, 5000, 7000 series? FAFO!
- Chip evac, heat dissipation, and edge life
– the holy trinity of cutting aluminum.
